Alissa Ujie Diamond, PLA, Designer

Alissa joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in the summer of 2008. She earned a B.S. in Architecture in 2002 and Master of Landscape Architecture degree in 2008, both from the University of Virginia. During her graduate studies, her work won distinctions including the ASLA Certificate of Honor, the Helen and Stanley Abbott Award for excellence in Landscape Architecture, and publication in the student journal Lunch.

Alissa’s professional experience includes positions with Fox Architects in St. Louis, H2L2 Architects in Philadelphia, and Siteworks Studio in Charlottesville. She contributed to the design and document preparation for a number of projects including the St. Louis Zoo Animal Nutrition Center in St. Louis, MO, the ING Bank Headquarters Renovation in Wilmington, DE, and the Rockefeller Park Master Plan in Cleveland, OH, which was recognized with an ASLA Honor Award in Analysis and Planning.

 

At NBWLA, she is currently working on several large-scale private estates on garden, farm renovation, and road design. She is designing and managing the Alderman Road Residential Redevelopment Plan for Buildings 6, 7, and 8 at the University of Virginia. She is also assisting with wetland and planting components the Duke Water Reclamation Pond project at Duke University.
