Maggie Hansen, Designer

Maggie Hansen joined the New York office in September 2011 and is currently working on the Medlock Ames Winery master plan as well as residential projects in Florida and New York. She earned Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees (2010) from the University of Virginia, where she was active as a teaching assistant. Her graduate work was awarded the ASLA Certificate of Honor. Her projects have been features in the 2010 d3 Natural Systems exhibition and the Delta Cities of the Future publication. She received a 2011 ASLA Student Honor Award in the General Design Category for a collaborative project entitled 'Baltimore Water Works: Adaptive Hydrology in the Jones Falls Corridor'.

As the 2009 Michael Cunningham Fellow at Hart Howerton, she examined the connection between public space and community resources in Bamako, Mali to understand how new settlements could best engage social infrastructure. Maggie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, where her studies focused on anthropology and art history. Prior to graduate school, she worked in contemporary art in New York and Chicago.
