Sara C. Myhre, PLA, AIA, Senior Associate
Sara Myhre joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in October 2002. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1992 and Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees in 1996, also from the University of Virginia. Following graduate school, Sara moved to Seattle where she worked for The Portico Group for six years. Projects there included a master plan for the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville AR; the Lowry Park Children’s Zoo in Tampa FL; the Dallas Children’s Zoo in Dallas TX.
Sara has acted as Senior Project Manager on the landscape for the Martha Jefferson Hospital’s new 80-acre campus in Charlottesville, VA, and Citygarden - a three-acre public sculpture garden in downtown Saint Louis MO. Sara also served as project landscape architect for the Asia Trail at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and project manager for the landscape master plan at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena CA. Currently, Sara is engaged with a variety of local and national projects including the new Ambulatory Care Center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a 2.6 acre, on-structure urban garden, Memorial Park in Houston, Texas and Bok Tower in Lake Wales Florida. She is licensed as both a landscape architect and an architect.
