The 'Bridging the Nature-Culture Divide Symposium' held on June 4, 2011 was co-sponsored by The Cultural Landscape Foundation and made possible through a grant from Con Edison. The event aimed to spark discourse and inspire ideas for solving challenges like those currently facing the Jay Property in Rye, New York. Issues such as understanding what responsible stewardship of a cultural landscape entails and how design can respect both the history and ecology of the location.
