
François Poupeau
Senior Designer
François joined NBW in 2017. He has a dual bachelor’s degree in Geography/Urban Systems and East Asian Studies from McGill University and a Master of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. François has lived and worked in New Orleans, Houston, Philadelphia, Montreal Canada, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Nigeria, France, and currently resides in New York City.
Prior to joining NBW, François worked with Michel Desvigne on the Park Aux Angéliques in Bordeaux, the US Embassy in Paris, and the Novartis East Hanover campus in New Jersey. He also worked in Catalonia with Marti Franch in projects of temporal park armatures ‘Las Voras Verdes’ and reconnecting the coastal trail of the Costa Brava. He is particularly interested in the design of ecological infrastructure and how people can shape a sustainable world with delightful experiences based in meaningful, authentic, and grounded design.
Current work at NBW includes Conservation Agriculture projects in New York and Illinois, a Conservation project in Montana, a campus project at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and a rural music festival theatre landscape in France.
