Kelly Watters

Designer

Kelly joined NBW in 2025. Prior to joining NBW, she worked at Terrain Work in NYC, where her work focused on the intersection of public art and landscape architecture. Before her time at Terrain Work, Kelly spent two years at Maser Consulting, contributing to a range of public, commercial, and private projects across various scales. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota, where she was awarded the Capstone Honor Award for her thesis, Unbuilding Atlantic City. She earned her undergraduate degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Architectural Studies, with minors in Anthropology and Environmental Studies, giving her an interdisciplinary foundation that informs her holistic approach to design.

Kelly is particularly interested in how landscapes can synthesize culture, ecology, and the built environment. Her work emphasizes the unique identity of each project site, drawing on its specific context and narrative. She is passionate about translating ideas into built form to create tangible impacts for communities.
