Tom Cassidy, LEED-AP

Tom Cassidy joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in 2015, bringing a diverse background in real estate development, land planning, and operations management. As Operating Officer, Tom oversees the firm’s operations, including HR, IT, and facilities, ensuring seamless functionality across all aspects of the business. He has streamlined operations and HR processes through the implementation of software platforms and has played a key role in shaping organizational behavior to optimize how teams collaborate.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia and a master’s in business and regional planning from the University of North Carolina. His experience spans Brownfield and land planning consulting, real estate development and finance, and the restoration of historic commercial buildings across North Carolina. As a LEED-AP, he has also managed large construction projects and operational strategies for engineering and technology firms.
