David is an experienced visual artist and content producer who helps to lead the design of graphic solutions and the development of visual strategies at NBW. He has wide-ranging expertise in the areas of graphic design, motion graphics, video production, and photography. David collaboratively supports and guides the production of the firm’s visual content including comprehensive project communications, branding, signage, books, manuals, renderings, and proposals. Recent work includes interpretive signage and strategies for Machicomoco, a new state park in Virginia, branding concepts for the City of Asheville’s Haywood Page project, and visualizations for the Smithsonian Institute’s Changing Landscape Initiative. David joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maine.
